LOL....Your training methods are way out dated and only teach the dog that "I'm The Boss Here, NOT You!!" My its can walk off leash thank to propper training and positive reinforcement. If you're a person looking for training tips please dont learn here...

What about if it was a kitten or a cat that doesn't like to be tugged too much? I don't want to hurt her either.

What if I have a 40 pound Newfoundland puppy who doesn't like the leash and plops on the ground as soon as we try and walk? I don't want to hurt her.

My 9 weeks old Maltese puppy will just bite the leash and won't move!

I wish this worked with my english bulldog!.granted, she's only 8 and a half weeks and i've only had her for less than 48 hours, but she has taken to EVERYTHING so easily! Crate training the first night, i put her in it, gave her a treat, she whimpered twice and then was asleep within two minutes. She's used the bathroom outside every single time. She already knows how to sit, but when it comes to the leash..she is STUBBORN! she'll walk a little then plop down and won't move! I'll give her time
